In the 15 years since Sage set up in Ireland, it has built a base of 40,000 customers, many of them mid-sized businesses regarded as the engine room for economic recovery. It is well documented that the company is the largest provider of accountancy software to small firms in Ireland, but Sage also has the biggest share of companies with more than €1 million in annual turnover and up to 500 employees.
