Ryanair withdraws from Stansted sale process

Ryanair has said that it has withdrawn from the sale process of Stansted Airport because of a refusal by the owner of the facility to engage with it.

Ryanair has said that it has withdrawn from the sale process of Stansted Airport because of a refusal by the owner of the facility to engage with it.

The airline said that it had been advised by Ferrovial, which owns Stansted through BAA, that it “will exclude Ryanair (and any Ryanair related consortium) from the Stansted sale process.” Ryanair is Stansted's largest airline with almost 70 per cent of the airport’s traffic,
