A television programme that questioned the fuel policy of Ryanair has been completely rejected as “false and defamatory” by the airline.

Ryanair said it had instructed its lawyers to issue legal proceedings against Channel 4 Dispatches for defamation and it looked forward to this matter “being resolved in the Courts”, it said.
