Ryanair has shifted some of its cash deposits in recent months to banks that were perceived as safer than others, amid concerns over the risk profile of certain banks.

The airline cited ‘‘a shift to more defensive deposits’’ as one of the factors behind a fall-off in its interest income in the three months to June.
