Ryanair has rejected claims by MEPs suggesting that its rule limiting the number and size of carry-on bags is purely a profitmaking measure.

Ryanair has rejected “false claims” by “poorly-briefed MEPs in the European Parliament” suggesting that its rule limiting the number and size of carry-on bags is purely a profitmaking measure.

Socialist MEP Paul Murphy yesterday condemned the airline’s one-bag rule as a “Wild West-style” practice. He was speaking in the European Parliament about a proposal for a common upper limit on the size and weight of hand luggage on all EU flights....
