Ryanair passenger numbers slip in March

Ryanair saw its passenger traffic fall 1 per cent last month, according to the latest data from the airline.

Ryanair saw its passenger traffic fall 1 per cent last month, according to the latest data from the airline.

It carried 5.4 million passengers in March 2013 compared to 5.5 million during the same month last year. But in the year to the end of last month Ryanair posted a 5 per cent rise in traffic to 79.3 million passengers.

The airline had previously indicated that traffic would fall after it grounded up to 80 aircraft.
