Ryanair in Supreme Court appeal on "bias"

The Supreme Court will tomorrow hear an appeal by Ryanair against the refusal of the head of the Commercial Court to stand down from hearing a Ryanair case - even though he handed the matter over to another judge.

The Supreme Court will tomorrow hear an appeal by Ryanair against the refusal of the head of the Commercial Court to stand down from hearing a Ryanair case - even though he handed the matter over to another judge.

Ryanair asked Mr Justice Peter Kelly not to hear the airline's €7.4 million claim against coach operator Terravision because the judge had previously commented that Ryanair and the truth were "uncomfortable bedfellows".
