Shannon Airport is set for a bonanza of up to €50 million over the next five years, following its deal with Ryanair last week.

The airport expects Ryanair's nine new routes to contribute €42 million in revenue from commercial activities such as retail, catering and car parks during that time.

Landing charges from the routes to be launched in May will account for between €1.3 million and €3 million, according to the airport's estimates.
