Ryanair carries almost 80 million passengers in 2012

UPDATE: Ryanair saw a 4 per cent rise in passenger numbers in 2012, its most ever, the airline said today.

Ryanair saw a 4 per cent rise in passenger numbers in 2012, its most ever, the airline said today.

Europe’s largest low cost airline carried 79.6 million passengers last year, it said. It carried 4.84 million passengers in December, a 2 per cent rise on December 2011, it said.

Load factor also improved by 2 per cent in December and was at 81 per cent. Overall, load factor in 2012 was 82 per cent, unchanged from 2011.
