Ryanair buys back 10 million shares
UPDATE: Budget airline Ryanair has bought back ten million of its own shares at a price of €5.75 per share.
Budget airline Ryanair has bought back ten million of its own shares at a price of €5.75 per share. The transaction leaves Ryanair with 1,403,505,715 ordinary shares in issue.
The move comes after a profit warning - its second this year - sent Ryanair's share price tumbling on Monday.
Ryanair's shares finished the day down 12.6 per cent to €5.33 but rallied by 4.7 per cent yesterday. At lunchtime today they were trading at €5.72, up 2.5 per cent.
