Ryanair: Aer Lingus dividend is "an insult"
UPDATE: Ryanair has described the 3 cents per share dividend announced by Aer Lingus as "paltry" and "an insult".
Aer Lingus is to pay a dividend of three cent per share in July, it said today.
The airline expects a dividend of about this amount in each of the next two years following a change of policy that means it pays a dividend in years when it makes an operating profit.
However, Ryanair has criticised the dividend payment as "paltry" and "an insult to Minister Varadkar".
