A charitable trust set up with funds from the late Cathal Ryan is giving $14 million to help children in Sri Lanka.

The Cathal Ryan Trust, set up after the death of the Ryanair co-founder in 2007, has struck a two-year partnership with Unicef to build and equip schools in Sri Lanka and refurbish healthcare facilities for children and mothers. Ryan left almost €250 million in his will, including€35 million to charity.
