Former Green Party energy minister Eamon Ryan has warned that the McCarthy review on state assets displays ‘‘a disregard’’ for energy security and climate change that would leave Ireland exposed to higher fossil fuel energy prices.

Ryan said the group’s recommendations would kill investment and new jobs in the expanding clean energy economy.
