Running costs at Irish Water are twice UK levels

Irish Water’s projected running costs of €1.9 billion over the next two years are more than twice the average costs of water companies in England and Wales.

Irish Water’s projected running costs of €1.9 billion over the next two years are more than twice the average costs of water companies in England and Wales.

The finding has been made in a report carried out for the water regulator by London-based consulting firm NERA. It found that Irish Water’s costs were twice the average costs in English water companies per head of population and 2.6 times the levels in Scotland.
