RTE sets out new ad deals structure

RTE has circulated its new advertising plan to ad agencies in the wake of a commitment to abolish its "share deal" discounting mechanism.

RTE has circulated its new advertising plan to advertising agencies in the wake of a commitment to abolish its "share deal" discounting mechanism, which was of concern to the Competition Authority.

The new trading system offers potential advertisers a number of industry deals, including discounts for making agreements early in the year, for new clients and for companies that commit to advertising throughout the year. It will be implemented in July.
