RTE has circulated a stark list of planned cutbacks to trade unions, and warned staff of a difficult six months ahead.

RTE has circulated a stark list of planned cutbacks to trade unions, with the company warning that an across the board pay cut of 4 per cent could follow if €25 million in savings are not found.

The ‘fall back’ option, as RTE has dubbed it, would involve the closure of units and bringing an end to some of the group’s activities.
