RTE opts to play a home game

Though strapped for cash, RTE is promising an autumn TV schedule that’s strong on home programming, writes Catherine O’Mahony

This time last year, when RTE was on the brink of one of the most dramatic slumps in advertising revenue in its history, director of television Noel Curran was able to unveil more than 70 new home-produced programmes for autumn and winter across RTE 1 and 2.
