RTE not capable of reform, says TV3 chief

The chief executive of TV3 has written to communications minister Pat Rabbitte claiming that RTE was "clearly not" capable of reform.

The chief executive of TV3 has written to communications minister Pat Rabbitte claiming it was "clear" that the minister and the government was operating under "a false assumption that RTE is capable of reforming itself".

In a strongly-worded letter, David McRedmond said that RTE's new plan for television advertising was a "crushingly disappointing response to a two-year investigation by the Competition Authority".
