RTE bids to save €1 million in regional operations

RTÉ has announced a new plan to save over €1 million by moving regional operations in Sligo, Dundalk, Galway, Athlone and Waterford to local Institutes of Technology.

RTÉ has announced a new plan to save over €1 million by moving regional operations in Sligo, Dundalk, Galway, Athlone and Waterford to local Institutes of Technology.

The broadcaster said that there will be no job losses resulting from the changes and that all regional correspondents will continue to provide coverage from their existing regions.
