Education chiefs are refusing to give out college results in a row over fees for apprentices – a move that is affecting thousands of young people.

Those who finished four-year apprenticeship courses have been unable to get their exam results as part of a campaign against special fees of between €833 and €1,433 on apprentices who only spend a few weeks of the year in technology institutes.
