The row between the two major shareholders of the Thomas Read Group, which owns 12 pubs in Dublin, escalated this weekend.

Publican Hugh O'Regan wrote to financier Paul Connolly on Friday demanding that he pay the remainder of what he owes from his purchase last year of a 60 per cent stake in the group.

Connolly bought the stake in the group, which owns the Bailey on Duke Street and Ron Blackson Dawson Street, for €12 million....
