Riverfest festival estimated to be worth €5.5m to Limerick

Limerick Marketing Company has estimated that its first major promotional project this year, the city's Riverfest festival, will be worth €5.5 million to the local economy.

Limerick Marketing Company - the country's only place-marketing semi-state - has estimated that its first major promotional project this year, the city's Riverfest festival, will be worth €5.5 million to the local economy.

Overall investment in the four-day festival, running over the May bank holiday weekend, is just shy of €200,000, between sponsorship deals and Limerick City Council.
