Review of child sex abuse allegations against Northern priest

The Bishop of Down and Connor has asked his diocesan child protection panel to review the case of a priest accused of child abuse who has been allowed to remain in ministry.

The Bishop of Down and Connor has asked his diocesan child protection panel to review the case of a priest accused of child abuse who has been allowed to remain in ministry.

The allegation relates to offences said to have taken place 20 years ago.

The panel will also review the cases of two other priests who face allegations of child sex abuse, but who have stepped down from ministry pending investigation of the claims.
