FLI Energy, a subsidiary of Waterford-based environmental group FLI, secured a €35 million contract to supply green power to Envar, a waste management and recycling company in Britain.

Under the terms of the contract, it agreed to build up to five anaerobic digestion plants in Britain and Ireland to supply Envar with gas, electricity and heat generated from food, agricultural and other organic waste.
