Transas develops technology that is used on large shipping vessels.

It was founded in St Petersburg and has its corporate base located in an offshore enclave. But new filings reveal that a low-key Cork based division of the Russian marine technology firm Transas is generating revenues of close to €100 million.

Transas Marine is a main holding company with the global Transas group, and is charged with ''developing the overall business strategy of the company.
