Revenue targets owners of overseas properties

The Revenue is clamping down on taxpayers who own property abroad and has sent letters to a number of them over the past few months reminding them of their tax liabilities.

The Revenue Commissioners are clamping down on taxpayers who own property abroad, and have issued letters to a number of them over the past few months reminding them of their tax liabilities.

Tax advisory firm Taxback.com told *The Sunday Business Post* that it had encountered a number of individuals in the past few months who had received letters from the Revenue in relation to tax responsibilities arising from their foreign properties.
