Revenue keeps travelling down electric avenue
This Wednesday will mark the latest stage in the Revenue’s switch to online returns, writes Andrew Cullen
Tax advisers and taxpayers will be aware that the Revenue has been rolling out a programme of mandatory electronic payment and filing of taxes since 2009.
Different groups of taxpayers have been brought in at different phases.
Under Phase 1, government departments/bodies and large companies whose tax affairs are managed by the Revenue’s Large Cases Division were required to pay and file online.
