Confidential documents reveal that the Irish tax authority is planning a crackdown on more than 1,000 self-employed contractors over the coming months, as it intensifies its €100 million contractors probe. The Revenue has decided to roll out the probe to a range of other sectors of the economy, after finding a high rate of non compliance on its audits of multinational contract workers.
