Revamp planned for primary care centres

In the next two years, 14 primary care centres will be built around the country through public private partnership, writes Donal Buckley

Three consortiums backed by international investors have been shortlisted for the development of 14 primary care centres around the country. Meanwhile, property owners and developers are awaiting news of opportunities to provide centres at more than 50 locations.

The 14 centres currently in the development pipeline include two in Dublin and three in Mayo. These could cost up to €140 million to develop and up to half that funding will come through a loan from the European...
