Shoppers bargain-hunting in the North are putting significant pressure on tenants in retail parks in the border counties, according to new research by Retail Excellence Ireland (REI).Traders in Dublin retail parks are also feeling the pinch, due to oversupply in the market.

Researchers into profitability at Ireland’s primary retail parks asked tenants to rate their trading performance, and the feedback painted a gloomy picture. Even more successful retailers recorded only modest profits.
