The phrase Irish Georgian trips easily off the tongue, but not so Irish Victorian.

Yet a huge percentage of Dubliners live in Victorian properties.

Unlike our continental and Scottish neighbours, Dublin’s upwardly mobile Victorians didn’t care to live in large, city centre apartments. They preferred the suburban, single family house, and to meet demand, an estimated 35,000 were built.
