Residential Investment: Rents in Dublin rise in good market

Rents in the capital are rising. According to the latest Daft rental index, rents in Dublin were roughly about 1.5 per cent higher in the second quarter this year than a year ago.

Rents in the capital are rising. According to the latest Daft rental index, rents in Dublin were roughly about 1.5 per cent higher in the second quarter this year than a year ago.

The analysis shows that elsewhere in the city rents are largely stable, down 25 per cent from 2007 levels. The typical rent achieved for a single or double room across the capital has increased in the last year.
