The government is providing €1.7 million in new research funding for 20 partnerships between industry and academia.

The government is providing €1.7 million for 20 research projects

The government is providing €1.7 million in new research funding for 20 industry-academia partnerships.

The funding, which will be provided through the Science Foundation Ireland industry fellowship programme, will support research in areas such as animal health, smart grid, marine, solar energy, transport and mobility studies, and diagnostics in oncology.

Both multinational companies and SMEs are involved in the programme which aims to increase the levels of collaboration between industry and academia.
