The controversy surrounding a €5 million fund controlled by a number of former Siptu officials is set to flare up again this week following a new report detailing financial irregularities and poor financial controls.

The report, by the Comptroller and Auditor General, is believed to be severely critical of some of the parties linked to the fund, including the Department of Health and the HSE, who paid into the fund.
