Repak links with EPA for packaging scheme

Repak has teamed up with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to launch a €200,000 packaging prevention programme to encourage Irish companies to reduce the level of product packaging they use.

Repak will invest €100,000 each year in the two-year programme, which will be co-funded by the EPA as part of the National Waste Prevention Programme.

The initiative will include a series of seminars, a best-practice packaging website and a supply chain benchmarking study. Other activities will include Packaging Design Awards aimed at promoting examples of best practice and research into consumer packaging preferences and purchasing behaviour.
