The stabilisation of prices is some way off - for it to be achieved, rents need to level off

This year marked the fourth straight year of falling house prices and contracting construction in the Irish residential property market. Property crash experts would not be surprised at such a long contraction; the general rule is, the longer the boom, the longer the bust.
