Two top-earning contractors hired by Minister for Health James Reilly have been spared the pay cuts that have been levied against other top earners in the health sector.
The Department of Health confirmed that Lis Nixon and Martin Connor did not take pay cuts, unlike contractors such as pharmacists, dentists, opthalmologists and GPs, who have had a succession of fee cuts under Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Fempi) Act.
