Registrations of new Irish websites rose by 10 per cent in the first half of the year, with a big increase in businesses and sole traders getting online for the first time.

Registrations of new Irish websites rose by 10 per cent in the first half of the year, with a big increase in businesses and sole traders getting online for the first time.

A total of 20,995 .ie domains were registered in the first six months of 2011, up from 19,099 in the same period last year, according to figures from the IE Domain Registry (IEDR).
