Regional operation boost sees Aer Lingus passengers rise 2.2%

Passenger numbers at Aer Lingus increased by 2.2 per cent to 1,116,000 in August compared to the same month last year, the airline said today.

Passenger numbers at Aer Lingus increased by 2.2 per cent to 1,116,000 in August compared to the same month last year, the airline said today.

The figure includes Aer Lingus Regional operations, routes between Britain and Ireland operated by Aer Arann under franchise, which saw a 35.4 per cent increase to 107,000 passengers. The airline also saw a strong performance in long haul in August, up 7.3 per cent to 103,000.
