Red Hat's Irish subsidiary sales hit €200 million

The Irish subsidiary of the US software company Red Hat boosted its revenues by 30 per cent last year and reported turnover close to €200 million.

The Irish subsidiary of the US software company Red Hat boosted its revenues by 30 per cent last year and reported turnover close to €200 million. Revenues in the year ending February 2012 grew €158.1 million to €197.3 million.

Despite the bumper revenues, the company had a relatively low profit margin. Red Hat recorded a €14.7 million profit last year, which more than doubled the €6.5 million net gain it enjoyed a year earlier.
