Record year for shopping centre deals on the cards

Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is set to be sold to a huge German pension fund for €600 million

23rd October, 2016
Merchants Quay shopping centre in Cork is for sale at €12.5 million

Even if all the shopping centres currently on the market do not make it across the line before the end of the year, 2016 could still prove to be one of the strongest years for retail centre sales on record in terms of value of property sales.

If they all sell, they would bring to more than €1.9 billion the value of shopping centre deals this year, almost double last year’s €1 billion performance.
