Record trading volumes recorded in Q3 - ISE
The strong demand for Irish shares in 2014 continued into the third quarter, with the volume of shares traded on the Irish Stock Exchange this year reaching a record high of 3.3 million by the end of September.
The strong demand for Irish shares in 2014 has continued into the third quarter, with the volume of shares traded on the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) this year reaching a record high of 3.3 million by the end of September.
That figure represents an increase of 31 per cent on the previous year, the ISE said today.
The total value of the trades in the year so far was 49.4 billion, a 16 per cent increase on last year.
