Record number of new citizens to be sworn in

A record 4,000 new Irish citizens will be sworn in at a ceremony to be held at the National Convention Centre in Dublin later this month.

A record 4,000 new Irish citizens will be sworn in at a ceremony to be held at the National Convention Centre in Dublin later this month. The new citizens, who come from 110 countries on five continents, will receive certificates of citizenship from the presiding officer at the event, which is being hosted by the Department of Justice.
