Receivers appointed to Dublin pub chain with Euro 18m-plus debts

The Burge Group, a pub chain with premises across Dublin and north Wicklow, has been taken over by its banks after buckling under more than €18 million in debts.

The Burge Group, a pub chain with premises across Dublin and north Wicklow, has been taken over by its banks after buckling under more than €18 million in debts.

Bank of Scotland (Ireland), the British lender now controlled by Lloyds, has installed receivers over five pubs in the group, after the group's bank facilities expired in recent weeks.
