Receiver is appointed to Players Lounge

The Players Lounge, the well-known Dublin pub owned by the Ireland and Celtic footballer Anthony Stokes, has been seized by its lenders.

The Players Lounge, the well-known Dublin pub owned by Ireland and Celtic footballer Anthony Stokes, has been seized by its lenders.

Bank of Scotland (Ireland) has appointed receivers over the pub in Fairview on Dublin's northside. Tinner Investments, the company behind the pub, owes creditors €3.25 million, according to its most recent accounts.

The British lender appointed Steve Tennant and Paul McCann of Grant Thornton accountants as receivers. It is expected that they will seek...
