Rebekah Brooks received a pay-off of more than stg£7 million (€8.7 million) when she resigned from News International last year, according to the Financial Times.

Rebekah Brooks, the former chief executive of News International who is facing trial in relation to the phone hacking scandal, received a pay-off of more than stg£7 million (€8.7 million) when she resigned last year, according to the Financial Times.

The newspaper said the package included pension payments and the use of a chauffeur-driven car.
