Not knowing how to use Chrome or Firefox, instead of Internet Explorer, should be a matter of acute embarrassment for any self-respecting professional.

Do you regard sending an email attachment as an 'IT skill'? If so, you're an overpaid laggard. And if you're proud of the fact you 'don't do' smartphones or Dropbox or Evernote, you're simply an ignorant buffoon.

Let's be clear: using Google Docs or LinkedIn isn't a 'techie skill'. It's basic, day-to-day workplace literacy.
