Last week, Magnet Networks launched a 24Mbs phone line broadband service for €40 per week (plus line rental cost).

It’s a step forward for the broadband industry, but one still wonders why broadband companies such as Magnet artificially suppress the speed of their packages to offer the illusion of choice.
