Less invasive cosmetic procedures are gaining popularity as consumers opt for non-surgical treatments, resulting in the sector becoming increasingly commoditised.
Under current Irish law, newly-qualified doctors with a basic degree and no further training or specialisation can perform a cosmetic procedure, as long as they receive the patient's consent.
