Reach for the stars with a Connemara dream home

Built in an L shape with a distinctive, double-height, gothic-style gable and surrounded by lush, landscaped gardens, Ashmore House sits beautifully in the landscape

Ashmore House near Leenane in northern Co Galway

The name Leenane conjures up visions of the Connemara landscape at its most breathtaking.

In 1990, a couple who had a view to one day building their own house bought a holiday home, Ashmore Cottage, within walking distance of picturesque Leenane village.

They liked the location on the shores of Killary Harbour, a 16km long fjord between the Maamturk and Maamtrasna mountains, so much they decided it was the perfect place for their dream home.
